Comments For "Dialog Project"

1. How is dialog created?
Dialog can be defined in many different ways. And also, Dialog can be created to make a kind of "connection" between two district things. For example, human beings are using "Language" to dialog and communicate with others. As people use "Body Language" among people who do not speak same language, I used the way of leaning two district spaces to make "Connection" to create Dialog.

2. How is a sense of space/place defined?
Space can not be created with one partition. It needs, at least, three partition to create space; therefore, a sense of space will be vary depend on the numbers of partitions.

3. How is the idea of system generated?
System is defined by Structure or Composition. Based on these two, System can be generated in many different ways.

4. How does the joinery support the project concept/strategies?
To create "Dialog" between two district spaces, the joinery will be one of the key methods to indicate "Concept" and "Strategies" as different sense of styles give various appearances to people.

5. How is scale utilized in the project?
Scale is an important characteristic in defining space. For instance, as using two different scale of form, it would be able to deliver various concepts of project. As a common sense, people think that bigger thing is better to support small thing than smaller thing supports bigger thing. In this project, I used smaller object as a supporter with added “Joinery” at smaller.

6. How do two-dimensional images add to the understanding of the project?
I usually start "Project" by drawing "Sketch Model." Sometimes, it limits my "Thought" because I could not "cut" for "Dialog" project. Therefore, 2D images are main sources for 3D form to create more projects.

7. How did the initial project idea evolve?
I needed to show some kinds of relationship in this project. For example, in the United States of America, people have various features under the category of "Human Beings," but they use "English" as a main tool of "Dialog." With this notion, as using same "Triangular Shape," but different scale, I indicated the "Dialog" between two district spaces with leaning each other.
