Craft
As I have been exploring, there are lots of ways to express a well-done artifact. Among those, craft is real character to determine whether an artifact is well-done or not. It can be a way to observe the designer's own style through craftsmanship and it needs practice to make perfect. From history, there was a movement of Arts and Crafts Movement which emphasize the importance of craftsmanship throughout architectural design. "The Arts and Crafts Movement had widened the bebate about what constituted good design,... (Massey, 31)."

Public/Private
To architectural design, it is important to utilize both public and private. Therefore, there are lots of architectures which are focused on balance between public and private. Monticello and Fallingwater would be good example of utilizing public and private on architectural spaces. Monticello had both private chamber and guest chamber for 5o guests. In addition, Fallingwater's private is well-constructed and space for guest was constructed as a separated house which is connected by pathway. "The creation of this public museum was the logical extension of practice in the preceding century, when, under the influence of the philosophes, enlightened European monarchs and princes had been opening their residences to the public so that their collections of painting and sculpture could be viewed and studied (Roth, 472)."

Fallingwater includes Public and Private spaces.

Technique
Technique is a key element which opened the possibilities of new style and generation of architecture. As it can be proved by history, technology (technique) enhanced the architecture and life level of human beings. Technique allows to accomplish a maximized possibilities. For example, when two people are going to make artifacts with same material, technique would be the key to determine the better one. "There arose building needs that had never existed before, leaving architects perplexed just how to design the required structure (Roth, 486)."

Language
In the planet where we are living, there are lots of languages. Basically, language is a way of expressing of one's. In architectural design field, language would be more various than literal meaning of language which is used to speak and write. Language of architectural design is telling us the style and concepts of designs. "One of the major shifts that occurred in the nineteenth century was the need to design building function that had never existed before,...(Roth, 471)."

Virtual
Virtual can be defined by eclecticism because virtual means that it is easily accept something. According to Roth, "the informed and selective borrowing of historical building forms and details, rooted...can be viewed as developing in a series of sequential related phases extending all the way (Roth, 469)." In other words, it is a harmony of material and technique throughout history.

In order to have well-crafted artifact, there would be proper technique which is able to deliver designer's concept to viewers with various ways of language of designer's. In addition, it would be decided by virtual dealing with public and private facets to accomplish the essential concepts.
